Getting Ready to Move my Friend to LA!

It's Wednesday and the weekend is simply a couple of days away. Work has been good this week. I am enjoying the challenges. Actually, the truth is I am learning a lot of new things. So long as that happens, I am happy :). Else I get stuck with boredom. That's not cool :(.
Meanwhile my friend is all set to move to LA. She has packed up her stuff, sublet her apartment to a colleague and sold whatever she doesn't need. Having said that, she still has quite a few boxes and furniture that need to be moved.
We have to take care of gas. Rental truck cost is only half the story. The cost of gas really jacks up the price of a move. So we need to creatively plan our route and use a gas credit card to increase our savings on gas expenses. Also, need to keep traffic in mind. Getting caught up in traffic enroute to LA can really kill time and increase gas cost. All these things make the journey even more intriguing. It's said that preparation is victory! We sure will do a good job of preparing well :).
Now for the fun part. I plan to visit her on Friday evening. She has hired a couple of helping hands to load the truck on Saturday morning. Once the loading is done, we shall drive back to LA.
On our way back, we will stop at scenic places and drink in the beauty of nature. It will be a nice way to get work done and have fun at the same time!
I am feeling so excited. I hope that the next two days will fly by quickly and the weekend'll be here in a jiffy. Can't wait to see my friend and get started on our fun trip.
I will not be posting this Friday since I shall be away. It's going to be hectic. I have to get back home after work, grab a bite, take care of my kitty, change, pick up my weekend bag, head off to the airport and catch a flight to my friend's place. I hope to get some shut eye before the move next day.
